Mark Rafail was born and raised in Houston, the son of parents who immigrated from Egypt and worked fast food to build a life here. That work ethic was inherited. The instinct to take care of people showed up early — first in hospitality, where service was the whole job, and then in business-to-business sales, where he learned the lesson that outlasts every product: relationships are the asset.
When the chance came to move into insurance, the fit was obvious — caring for people is the work — but he walked away from a captive model rather than sell what he didn’t believe in. He went business to business and real estate office to real estate office, earning referrals one honest conversation at a time. Seventeen years later, the agency he and Sylvia built services thousands of policies with a team that will talk to you about your insurance the way your mother would — not like a salesperson.
